As fastai pytorch models can be exported to onnx they can now be directly imported into OpenCV and run on the GPU. Building OpenCV 4 with CUDA support can be an intimidating task. Building OpenCV 4 with CUDA support on the NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit can be a bit of a chore.Using OpenCV 4.1.0 with CUDA 10.0 for instance, a clean build -DWITH_NVCUVID=OFF removes dependency on the NVIDIA CODEC SDK. Although the NVIDIA codecs can be used as described above, it would be nice if cmake support for the NVIDIA CODEC SDK was added to OpenCV as it is now a transitive dependency. When trying to compile OpenCV 2, for example OpenCV 2.4.13.6, with CUDA 9 there are mainly two issues: The nppi library was splitted up under CUDA 9 into a series of libraries, preventing the shipped FindCUDA.cmake script from finding it; and the FindCUDA.cmake does not handle the latest GPU architectures correctly.

The opencv from sdkmanager only provides necessary lib/functions other sdk components need.
